Information for photographers and videographers!
Dear photographers and videographers!
The XXVIII Song and XXI Dance Celebration “Iseoma” /Kinship/ has arrived, and the milestone moments of this major event are almost here. Together with you, we want to bring the festivities to an even wider audience.
Personalised accreditation items – badge and wristband – can be collected from 29 June to 4 July, 09:00 – 19:00, at the Song and Dance Celebration press centre, located in Hotel Europa (Paadi 5).
On 5 July, any accreditations still unclaimed will be issued at the Oru Hotel (Narva mnt 120), next to the Song Festival Grounds.
The attached maps show photo positions with access instructions. More detailed information about the festival and rehearsals will reach you via the daily press-team briefings.
Updated information is available in the Eventhos app (Android, iOS), including an interactive map and access details. Your username is the e-mail address used for accreditation, and you can reset your password at https://eventhos.com/login. If you encounter access issues, contact press@laulupidu28.ee.
By receiving accreditation you confirm that you have read and will comply with all current rules. Below are the key rules for covering the festival.
Important during the rehearsal period:
- access to rehearsal areas of the Song and Dance Celebration is granted only by prior agreement with the press team – accreditation alone does not grant access to rehearsals;
- during rehearsals (and also performances/concerts) media may not enter the stage or dance field.
Parade
- when covering the parade, you and all spectators must keep the movement corridor clear along the entire route so as not to impede the marchers;
- no special rules apply in the parade for holders of photo/video accreditation.
- during the parade the Sea Gate is open only for parade participants; spectators and media must enter the festival grounds via the Oru or Mäe Gates.
- the Sea Gate opens to everyone after the parade ends, at approximately 19:30.
Dance Celebration (Kalev Stadium)
- photo/video accreditation grants access to the standing audience area
- to the photo boxes on dancer level at the left and right edges of the west side
- you may remain briefly in aisles 2, 8, 11, 16, 21 (marked on the map) as directed by security personnel
- avoid actions that might disturb dancers or audience
- NB! Accreditation does not guarantee a seat at the Dance Celebration
- NB! Aisles are constantly used for dancers’ entry and exit – step aside or leave the stairs as soon as possible when dancers are coming towards your position. The stairs are not for long-term positioning; stay on them for at most one or two dances.
Song Celebration (Song Festival Grounds)
- In the aisles of the seated audience area (A1–A6) there are five photo positions where:
- photographers may stay briefly at one position – up to three consecutive songs (about 15 minutes)
- photographers enter the area through two dedicated access points (marked on the map)
- our photo assistants and security staff wearing green organiser t-shirts and badges are stationed at the access points to assist you as needed
- On the stage there are four positions where:
- groups move together from the press tent with a photo assistant every hour and half-hour (19:30, 20:00, etc.)
- each group size is a maximum of 15 photographers
- the group splits among the four positions; no more than five photographers are in one position at the same time
- time in the positions is 15–20 minutes; the group exits together with the photo assistant (e.g. 19:55, 20:25)
- access to the flame tower is via zone A8 of the seated audience area and along the fence:
- access to balconies 1–6 is available every hour and half-hour
- time in the flame tower is limited to about 30 minutes. Special arrangements must be confirmed in advance at press@laulupidu28.ee
- NB! The flame tower is closed for about 1–1.5 hours at the start of the Song Celebration opening concert (05.07). First entry is around 20:30.
- Working conditions for media representatives are provided in the press tent at the Song Festival Grounds, and our assistants are on hand.
Important during all performances:
- this is a ceremonial event; please take this into account when choosing your attire;
- photography must not disturb the performers, and please avoid actions that might disturb the audience;
- entry to performer areas is prohibited except within the marked photo boxes and on the stairs shown on the map at limited times
- stepping outside the marked photo boxes is not allowed
- rules may be refined and changed during the festival, and any changes will be communicated via the Eventhos app by push notification or message – check the app regularly for updates.
In the Eventhos app the restriction map is visible in the submenu “Map”.
Your work is assisted by our press-service volunteers, identifiable by bright green organiser t-shirts and badges. Please follow the volunteers’ instructions. Accreditation will be revoked if rules are violated.
We wish you an enjoyable start to festival week!
